AUTUMN 2011 BACK TO SCHOOL
REGISTRATION AT MOUNT PLEASANT LIBRARY
The first two weeks of September are registration weeks for programming at Mount Pleasant.
During Registration, Youth Services Librarian, Miss Gail and Children’s Specialist, Charlene Williams, will be available to discuss services provided by the library for youth and those adults who care for them.

Story Programs are offered at the library on a weekly basis during the school year, beginning Monday, September 12. Registration is required to meet at mutually convenient time(s) and help with planning. To register for any of the programs, please call 272-0106 XT 3. Ask for Miss Gail or Miss Charlene.
Cradle to Crayons is an interactive, introductory literacy program for our youngest patrons, ages 3 months to 3 years, and their parents or caregivers. This program is held on Thursdays at 10:30 am and lasts for one hour. Approximately 20 - 30 minutes of story time is followed by open play. Registration is required.
Preschool Story Time is a program for 3 to 5-year olds and consists of stories, finger plays, and a craft each week.
These programs last approximately 45 minutes and are held on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm. Registration is required.
Milk and Cookies is our Autumn Reading Program for elementary school- aged children. After school from 3:00 to 4:00 PM we’ll watch the cookie jar grow as the children record what they’ve read the day before. Plus, they'll receive milk and cookies. Registration is required.
TEENS –is our book club for youth ages 12 years and up. We currently meet Tuesdays at 7:30PM for book talk and FOOD. Time and day may change after our first meeting of the autumn, September 13
Krafty Kidz is our craft program for elementary school age children. It begins Tuesdays, October 4th at 4PM
Providence Community Library joins with the Peace Flag Project to offer a workshop for people of all ages to make their own peace flag, September 21st at 4:00 PM.
Cyber Kids is a FREE work shop series (6 sessions) for youth in fourth grade or older beginning Wednesdays, September 14th – October 16th from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
Comic Club A FREE workshop to learn new ways to draw and make comics; develop skills as an author, learn about layout techniques, how to use ink and tools for writing stories! Fall series TBA.
ORIGAMI is a FREE workshop. Fall dates TBA.
