The best news is that our Children's Specialist, Miss Charlene is in the house and in full swing.
Miss Charlene started in time to celebrate the commemoration of Dr. Seuss with cake and a hat a la the Cat In The Hat. With the assistance of Americorps volunteer, Marybel, kids and adults alike had a great time.
She has also introduced Krafty Kidz, a program of crafts for children 7 to 12 after school on Wednesdays. Check the website calendar for details.
Besides the programming, she has been shelving, shelf reading, weeding and generally turning the Children's area into a welcoming accessible department. If you're in, make sure you walk back and introduce yourself.
